CelticALLY THEMED gLASS eTCHING
Today, the term Celtic generally refers to the languages and respective cultures of Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, the Isle of Man, and Brittany; also known as the Celtic nations. These are the regions where four Celtic languages (Irish Gaelic, Scottish Gaelic, Welsh, and Breton) are still spoken to some extent as mother tongues.
As a whole, Celtic knot designs have become a symbol of cultural pride for those with Welsh, Irish or Scottish heritage. Below are a few projects with this theme in mind.

Anvil's Celtic REquest
A project commissioned from my friend, Alex. His request was, " Please put upon this bottle something Celtic. Go." Took me a bit for those creative juices to flow with that much freedom in the design phase, but eventually, ten different knots would be used for this bottle. He greatly enjoyed the surprise of a free form commission. Circa: Sept. 2014
Celtic wedding bottle
This was a Wedding Gift for "dem Irish folk". The couple had a caricature drawn of them on their wedding invite, and CPH used it along with their wedding date to gift them something unique. Circa: Mar. 2014
Celtically themed Gift Banks
This is just part of a Commissioned Project to make custom Banks for some Nieces and Nephews.
For the complete project please visit the "Commission Challenges" tab for more photos and details. Circa: Dec. 2014

CPH Knotwork
This piece is part of our Personal Collection. It is the Second Piece of Glass Etching CPH ever crafted. The Celtic knot alludes to infinite beginnings and endings. This translation harkens to our most primal selves as we contemplate the infinite cycles of birth and passing in both physical and ethereal realms. Canvas is a recycled Hard Cider Bottle.
